Last week at #FORMNEXT 2021 we presented our collaborative project 'What's inside'.
The Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) / Additive Manufacturing (AM) part featured a cooling channel, as external and internal markings, added by #AdditiveMarking.
The part was printed in AlSI10Mg Aluminium by #Frankenguss on a GE / #ConceptLaser M2 dual-laser system. A QR-code on the top of the component leads to the project page featuring a video of a computer tomography scan of the part. The
Over the last five years FORMNEXT has become one of the most important shows of Additive Manufacturing industry. FORMNEXT took place for the fifth time in Frankfurt Germany. Over the last five years the show has grown to a total of 852 exhibitors. This year more than 34 500 visitors attended over the 4 days. So it has become a real magnet for the Additive community. This year FORMNEXT was held on four floors in two connected halls with more than 50 000 square meters.Visitors
Day three of FORMNEXT 2016, the catch-up of Additive Manufacturing & 3D-printing industry Xjet presented its new NanoParticleJetting™ technology. The Material (metal or ceramics) is jetted in a liquid with a poly-jet but at temperatures up to 300 degrees.
The sub-micron / nano-particles allowing layer thicknesses as low as 3 microns, that’s 0,000118811 inches.
So far there have been very few technologies around to reach this high level of detail and accuracy. A second mater
Day two of FORMNEXT 2016, the catch-up of Additive Manufacturing 3D-printing industry So what are the big players in metal additive manufacturing doing? Looking at the big players for laser based powder bed fusion systems there is a clear trend for automation.
The aim is a reduction of labor and an increase in productivity. Electro Optical Systems (EOS) as CONCEPT LASER
were both presenting robot solutions for autonomous operation of large machine set-ups with multiple mach
Day one of FORMNEXT 2016, the catch-up of Additive Manufacturing & 3D-printing industry After last year’s debut of FORMNEXT EXPO FORMNEXT-EXPO 2016 started the second time in Frankfurt GERMANY today. So what is news in metal additive manufacturing ? Important to know is the fact that key technology patents for bed fusion are about to expire. So this is leading to
more and more new players entering the market. OR Laser surprised with a complete new powder bed based laser met
